Gavan brings a wealth of experience in the information technology sector to his role as Partner of ESP Executive Search.

Gavan began his career in IT operations, before moving to Dun & Bradstreet where he spent ten years working in senior management roles spanning three states.

In 1986, Gavan joined The Focus Group’s executive search team to target the fast-growth technology sector. Gavan spent the next 20 years building executive teams across the Asia Pacific Region working for a wide range of clients from large corporations, such as IBM, to small technology start-ups, Government bodies, and research organisations. Gavan’s work often involved input into team structures, remuneration and business strategies.

Gavan is particularly focused on promoting growth in the information technology industry. In previous roles, he has worked with both emerging and established IT companies to help them grow their business in Australia and internationally, with particular emphasis on the Asia Pacific market.
